Betty Soares is the Chief Financial Officer of Jade Power with over 15 years experience in finance leadership, backed by operational & technological expertise, M&A experience from due diligence to integration, transformation leadership & change management. She’s also experienced in restructuring & reorganizational leadership and onboarding of new technologies. Ms. Soares spent almost 13 years at Yamana Gold Inc. (TSX: YRI; NYSE: AUY) as Vice President, Corporate Controller & Chief Accounting Officers and Vice President, Enterprise Performance Management. Ms. Soares is a member of FEI Canada serving the Committee on Corporate Reporting, Women’s Executive Network (WXN) and member of the Board of Directors of North York Women’s Shelter as well as serving on its Finance Committee. Ms. Soares has a Bachelor of Administration (Honours) from Wilfrid Laurier University and is a Global Executive MBA candidate from the Rotman School of Management of the University of Toronto. Ms. Soares is also a member of the Ontario Professional Chartered Accountants.

Mr. Mihai is a financier, with more than 20 years of professional experience. He has developed a proven leadership path in the financial services sector in Romania, having served for the last 12 years in senior management and executive roles with local subsidiaries of two major European banking groups – UniCredit and Societe Generale. Mr. Mihai developed extensive skills of project finance and other debt financing structures, having successfully led teams to building up significant lending portfolios with corporates and SME’s. He has facilitated financing of over 100 Million Euro of renewable energy projects during 2009 – 2013, when the governmental support scheme for renewable energy sector was deployed in Romania. He has experience with the local and regional market conditions for Romania and Central Eastern Europe.
Mr. Mihai is a graduate of the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest, Romania (Bachelor’s Degree in General Economics) and holds a Master’s Degree in Corporate and Investment Banking with SDA Bocconi School of Management in Milan, Italy.
